Riding Attire

We are very commonly asked by new members what is okay to wear in riding lessons, and what is required for showing in the various disciplines. There are obviously different "dress codes" for the different classes, but the common items that all participants must have are a certified helmet and a boot with a heel. At orientation or the first day of class, riding equipment will be covered in full detail, but we have tried to outline on this page the basics, from head to toe. Should you be invited to join the riding teams and show with us, keep in mind that many people will share their show clothes. Before you go out to buy any new show gear, you are encouraged to ask around to see if someone wears your size.
